Achieving Your Health Goals with Physiotherapy Care
At CBI Home Health, physiotherapy is focused on helping individuals like you achieve significant improvements in health and daily activities. Dhvani Trivedi frequently helps patients work towards goals such as:
- For those whose that grinding or crunching feeling in my knee or shoulder has made getting on and off the floor with ease seem like a distant memory, Dhvani Trivedi's physiotherapy care offers a clear path toward improved core stability and control, leading to better posture and reduced strain. Effective, evidence-based treatments can be instrumental in helping you get back to getting on and off the floor with ease with greater comfort and renewed confidence.
- Dhvani Trivedi believes that everyone deserves to move well and feel their best. If an old ankle sprain that never seems to fully heal and still feels weak is hindering your ability to dressing myself independently and without difficulty, including shoes and socks, a personalized plan focusing on seeing their child achieve developmental milestones with greater ease (for pediatric physio) can make all the difference.
- Patients struggling with tendonitis pain flaring up in my shoulder, knee, elbow, or foot can find dedicated and compassionate support from Dhvani Trivedi. The therapeutic focus is squarely on achieving feeling more stable and confident on their feet, especially on uneven surfaces, using a range of physiotherapy services to facilitate a return to meaningful daily activities such as handling their job that involves frequent standing, walking, or bending.
- Struggling with the frustration of shoulder pain that makes simple things like lifting my arm or reaching overhead difficult? Dhvani Trivedi develops individualized physiotherapy programs specifically aimed at achieving better managing flare-ups with personalized strategies and feeling more in control of their symptoms. This is key to helping you get back to doing standing for longer periods, for example, while cooking or at an event with confidence and significantly reduced discomfort.
Your personalized physiotherapy plan, developed with Dhvani Trivedi, will be designed to help you reach your specific functional and wellness objectives.

Frequently Asked Questions about Physiotherapy in Waterloo
- Is there parking available at or near CBI Home Health?
- Paid parking is available in the parkade adjacent to our building. Limited free street parking may also be found in the vicinity, but please check local signage for restrictions.
- What is CBI Home Health's appointment cancellation policy?
- We understand that schedules can change unexpectedly. To ensure we can accommodate all our patients efficiently, we kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the time slot to other patients who may be waiting for care. A fee equivalent to 50% of the service cost may be charged for late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) or missed appointments without sufficient notice. Please contact our clinic as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to your appointment.
- What is manual therapy in physiotherapy?
- In physiotherapy, manual therapy encompasses a range of 'hands-on' interventions. Your Physiotherapist may use these techniques to help reduce your pain, increase joint movement, relax tight muscles, or improve the mobility of your nerves. Common approaches include joint glides, sustained pressures, specific soft tissue massage, and, when indicated, joint manipulations. It's a key part of helping your body move better.
- Do I need a doctor's referral to see a Physiotherapist in ON?
- Patients in Ontario can typically see a Physiotherapist directly without a physician's referral (direct access). However, some private/extended health insurance plans require a referral for reimbursement. Check your insurance policy before your first appointment.
- I have private health insurance. How does that work with physiotherapy payments?
- Many private health insurance plans offer full or partial coverage for registered physiotherapy services. Contact your insurer before your first appointment to understand your plan's specifics (annual maximum, per-visit limits, co-payments, referral requirements, direct billing). If CBI Home Health offers direct billing and your plan allows it, we can bill your insurer directly for the covered portion. You'll be responsible for any co-payment or remaining balance. Bring your insurance card and policy details to your appointment. If direct billing isn't possible, we'll provide a receipt for your insurer.
- Is physiotherapy covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) in ON?
- OHIP generally does NOT cover physiotherapy services in private outpatient clinics. Publicly funded physiotherapy is available in specific situations (e.g., post-hospitalization, for children/youth, seniors, or through Community Physiotherapy Clinics/Family Health Teams), but eligibility is strict. Check your private insurance for coverage.
