As a dedicated sports medicine physician, she provides medical attention, particularly to athletes, either by providing counseling, or offering medical treatment. She treats a number of musculoskeletal injuries which happens as a result of participating in sports, including shoulder and knee injuries, head injuries, ankle sprains, fractures and tendonitis. She may also treat some chronic health conditions which can affect the performance of an athlete.

Day after day, a number of athletes are getting hurt because of their sports. While general doctors, or those with specialized skills can help, a sports medicine physician is trained to especially address the needs of athletes. On top of providing medical treatment, they also provide counseling, suggesting supplements exercise regimens or diet plans which can address performance issues.
